Perodua Myvi Extreme / Myvi SE / Myvi 1.5 Spyshots

A new Myvi 1.5 has been spied. This is different from the version we used to see before, with more extreme front fascia design . This variant of Myvi is due to be launched very soon.

According to believable insider news, the 1.5 litre Myvi is called Myvi SE. Where previous Myvi SE is just a cosmetically enhanced, the new SE will sports a 1.5 litre engine to give a boost in performance, parallel with the racier exterior styling. The versions you see above is Myvi SE Extreme with much more agressive front lip and side skirting compared to cooking Myvi SE. Read more after the jump.

New Peugeot 308 Sedan spied in China

We have heard on Peugeot 408. This essentially is a Peugeot 307 underneath, clothed with 308 topping, bolted a boot and rebadged as 408. There is a talk this car is coming to Malaysia too. Now Chinese market is getting a newer car, this time around looks very much like 308 based, with boot grafted on.

Toyota Camry 2012 Chinese version spied

Just as we thought we have seen enough variation of Toyota Camry design, another version has now spied. This is the Chinese version of Toyota Camry. It has some differences to the Ukraine model unveiled earlier this week.

The front grille design is different. Instead of horizontal chrome louvres, it has a chrome surround and some what crated grille, common to radiator grill and lower and side bumper intake sections. More details after the jump.

Latest photos of JDM Camry 2012 model has again leaked. There is a clear distinction for front and rear compared USDM model. But the rear end is a bit bland compared to current Camry.

Latest Proton P3-21A (Persona R) spied in convoy

Proton Persona R or P3-21A has been spied in convoy together with Exora Turbo. Not one car, but at least 3 different P3-21A were in that convoy. The "B 461A" car especially revealed things we haven't seen yet so far. See the photos below. credited to Paultan Automotive Blog Album.

In this photos, the previously covered front grille is now open to be seen. It is not as intricate as the Tuah showcar, it is in fact as conventional as Proton Waja from last decade. There is a depression at the edge of the hood, above the grille with some rectangular holes. I am very convinced this is the fixing points for chrome garnish. The lower grille in the bumper featured mesh pattern and the lower-side intake is louvered  has fog lamp. There's also character line running from front wheel arch, gently rising along the belt-lines towards the rear light.

This particular car has get rid of the fake rear light, and we can catch a glimpse of the actual rear light running underneath the tape. We can see that the rear light graphic is similar to Saga FL/FLX with some LED in it. We also can see that the rear light unit is split between the rear side structure and on the trunk lid. The exhaust tip is oval in shape and the muffler box is different from the previous test car.

In the "B 2371A", the cladding around the lower bumper concealed the fog lamps, but in this "B461A" we can see the oval fog light together with the louvres. The door outside handle looks very much like Gen2 item which has been widely used in Satria Neo, Persona, Exora and Saga. The door has a thin sash, as it is contained below the side structure. The car is visibly cab-forward where the A-pillar is very much near the front wheel axis. Tiny quarter glass exist in front of front door, to where the A-pillar meet the front fender. 

The rear door aperture is what we have seen on bare BIW some times back. But now we can see the static glass is still retained, despite the visibly tiny rear door opening. The rear window surely will be very cozy in its opening. More photos after the jump.

BMW X6 Facelift spied with new angel eyes headlamp

2012 BMW X6 has been spied testing with taped up headlamps, Worldcarfans reported. The car was seen pounding the street of Munich with the new angel-eye headlight, not unlike the newly launched 1-series.

The facelift model is expected to get an updated powertrain. The rumoured powerhouse is the new tri-turbo 3.0l diesel unit with up to 395bhp. More photos after the jump.

Kia Forte 2013 spyshots

Kia/Naza Forte still feels fresh as new, as it was introduced to our shore only in late 2009. It has been in the international market for quite sometimes at that particular time. No surprise that after slightly more than a year with us, a revamped version with 6 speed auto transmission has already been introduced, together with some mild facelift.

Now, a replacement model has been spotted testing, with camouflaged. The current car actually sits on outgoing Hyundai Elantra/Avante platform, meaning that it is already outdated as the new Elantra already on sale right now. The new model is similar in length as before at 4530mm, while the wheelbase is 50mm longer at 2700mm. This put it exactly the same size as the new Elantra. The LED tail lamps is standard, as well as 18 inches wheel, one up from current Forte.

At the front, the car is described to have a heavily contoured hood, with very pronounced pleat on the surface.The headlight too, is described as very shapely like the new Optima, but with "pan handle" protrusion joining the now customary tiger grille. The tail light too, is Optima like, with strong stretchy like design with some reminiscent of Audi A4/Q5 design, with character line joining both side of lights. Lexus GS 2012 spied uncovered

The new Lexus GS series has been caught totally uncovered (saved for the Lexus badge), according to publication in China. The car is quite aggressive looking, with some element from smaller CT series. The model caught here is GS350 AWD.Judge it yourself!

New Volkswagen Lupo to debut on 22nd August?

VW Up! will make it world debut on 22nd of August 2012, at Paris Grand Palais. It is part of Lupo family which will spin-off all sort of VW derived model such as Seat Arosa and Skoda Youngster.

2012 Porsche 911 spyshots

The iconic Porsche 911 will be replaced soon. The 2012 model was getting more revealing is the latest series of spyshots. The heavy camou are gone, replaced with mild tape-over item which make the whole package more visible.

BMW 3-series 2012 (F30) spied during commercial shoot

The totally uncovered BMW F30 pictures has surfaced out, thanks to F30post.com. The new photos unveiled that the new Bimmer is indeed elegant in proportion. The front appears sporty yet elegant and the headlights are thankfully sleeker than the awkward F20 1-series. The rear clearly shows a family resemblance to the F10 5-series, yet the rearlights are somewhat different at the outer edges to make for a unique look. As the F20, the side turn indicators are now integrated into the mirros. There also some badging at the front quarter panel where the side indicators used to sit.

New option for Mazda 2(Demio)

Mazda will launched the new option package for Mazda Demio model starting from September. The package consists of bodykit with different bumpers and skirting, a sport spring which lowered the car by 30mm when paired with stock shock and a "sportier" muffler. The 100 x 95mm oval exhaust is said to improve throttle response. 

Honda CRV 2012 - More interior shots

Seems that not only the exterior of new CRV 2012 was spied in China, but some glimpse of the interior is here too. It retains the basic architecture of current CRV, but with added touch of integrated ICE and new meter combi. The new gear lever resides at the same place as previous one.

Note the ECO symbol (the leaves thing) present here too, like the new Civic.

ICE system looks more classy than the new Civic 2012 item. But this is spied under low lighting, so things might look classier than they actually are.

The side profile does not revealed much yet.

Proton Persona R (P3-21A) spied near COE

Seems that the new Proton Persona R (P3-21A) starts pounding the streets again. This time it was spied by Paultan reader. It still did not reveal much, as the cladding is still very thick.

Pity that we couldn't see the dashboard from this angle. The rest of the car does not reveal anything we don't yet know.

Hyundai i30 sketch and spied

New Hyundai i30 is bound to be displayed at next month Frankfurt motorshow. The official sketch promised a lot.

Carscoop has several spy photos of this forthcoming car. The details of the interior can be seen, clearly a derivation from the new Elantra.

Honda Civic 2012 - a review of GCC model - could this be similar to Asia spec?

More pictures of Arab/Asia 2012 Civic start to surface out, thanks to GCC/UAE media during their first taste of the car. Since Arab previous Civic is the same as our Civic, it is safe to assume that this is highly likely to be Asian version too. They concluded that Civic is spacious for compact sedan, with sizable boot. However, driving excitement has been slightly toned down for more bias towards comfort. Finally the price is not that favorable. 

I have run a design comparison of 2012 Civic compared to our current FD model. Both have their pros/cons and some corner has visibly been cut in the 2012 model, evidence of cost cutting. More photos and details after the jump.

Proton Persona R (P3-21A) spied at Proton Test Track

Possibly this is a gimmick, but the information is precious nevertheless. Apparently during the Saga FLX test drive at Proton test track, there was a P3-21a prototype caged somewhere nearby, close enough to be photographed by the participating journalist. The car could be the one of the early prototype, but some of the camo has been shed.

The car did shed some of the tape around the grille. The design of grill passing a resemblance to the spied photos many months back, where there is chrome garnish bar at the top of the grill and a protruding emblem at the centre. However, this grill looks scarily conventional and outright ugly. Let's really hope the final item is way better executed.

The camouflaged at the door line, near the C-pillar was absent too. This conform the depression seen on the BIW is just for cosmetic, where the door like actually more inwards. I am quite to see how the rear end design is executed, as P3-21a looks to have a modern proportion like all small sedan this days, where cab forward design put the A-pillar at the extreme front, while the pushed C-pillar results in stubby notch. Hopefully the rear end will be Forte-like handsome with none of awkward tall-boy narrow body defective looking.
